I made this tee a few months ago but then adjusted the collar last week.

These wool pants I made earlier in the year and at the time, I did not like them. But after sitting at the back of the closet for a while and the weather getting colder, I am gaining an appreciation for them.

Throw on a sweater and I’m winter ready.

Here’s the dirty secret: often after I finish a sewing project / video, there are little improvements I’d like to make but just don’t get to. This week I did that for several of my past endeavours: two of my crewneck sweaters and a couple of my t-shirts.

I also checked in with my Mennonite friend Farmer Corn and went to see Frankie, an old friend.

They were last week’s project and despite some initial trepidations, I’ve been wearing them a lot already.

They’re a little tight through the hips and the left calf but they’re mostly great. Take a look at my stitching in picture number 3 for example. I’m getting better.

Say I’m feeling casual, I can put on a black tee, one of my caps and this sweater and I’m comfortable but still have a bit of style.

Perhaps I want to dress it up a bit? I put on a button-up & tie, roll the cuffs a bit and some schmutz in hair and suddenly I’m the kinda edgy guy on the worship team at church.

Boom, fashion.

I finished the Black Jeans that I started last week. And not only are they done, my insecurities were replaced by my friend confidence!

At the end of the week, I like to post a photo that stands as a reminder of this past week’s project / video. Because they aren’t complete, I decide to get all artsy and do this photo.
So, I’m gonna need you to trust me these are jeans and also, the video link is in the bio.

With that fancy new coat I posted last week, getting a pair of leather gloves to match only makes sense, right? I have also committed to the blue & brown colour palette rather then the black and grey. I like my warm tones.

I made this fashion list at the beginning of the year with the aim of either purchasing or making all of it by years ends. To say I’m halfway through is generous. But, I have knocked off some of the bigger ticket items and I read somewhere it takes 5 years to develop a solid fashionable wardrobe, so I’m in good shape. Plus, my sewing is getting better.

The journey continues.

I’ve been looking for a nice overcoat for a while but I had a very specific vision for what I wanted. I wanted something simple with classic tailoring. This is surprisingly hard to find. Notice the invisible pockets right on the seam line? The medium size lapel? Less is more.
