Now that I feel confident enough to make most of my wardrobe, the only things I am really interested in buying are accessories. My latest purchase was this navy blue / brown double-sided belt.

I started working on a pair of black jeans this week but straight out of the gate, my sewing machine started acting up. I couldn’t figure out why it was broken so eventually I got Handyman Corn to step in and solve the problem.

Entertainment Corn also showed up.

I have spent the past month both learning about knitting & crocheting as well as working on this sweater. This is the final product.

Looking at the two photos, the seams are definitely more pronounced, but then isn’t the fit just perfect?! I am really happy with it and look forward to being toasty warm for many winters to come.

4 weeks ago I began the journey of learning how to resize a wool knit sweater. This week I crocheted together all the resized panels from last week and said sweater is finally complete!

And because the entire process this week consists of only 1 stitch pattern, Entertainment Corn told a story to help pass the time.

After some wear, my body sweat and oils stain my collars and backs yellow. But I also like my whites to be nice. The old school way of making this happen was sunning them outdoors on the clothes line. Well seeing as I live in an apartment, I do it in my window. Boom, fashion

For the past two weeks, I’ve been learning about the various ways to work with yarn. Basically, knitting and crocheting. Now it’s time to get work on the actual Aran Sweater and tailor it down to size.

Also, this week it was Entertainment Corn that showed up for some “delights.”

I want to size down an Aran Sweater I bought for myself but first I need to learn some new skills. Last week I dove into the world of knitting. This week I delved into the art of crochet.

Also, I experienced the struggles of Adulthood.

I have this nice Aran sweater that I bought but it is a touch too big. I want to size it down a little bit but before I get to it, I’m attempting to learn the technique. Week one didn’t go so well.

Want to see the struggles?

I bought myself a beautiful authentic, albeit overpriced, cable knit wool sweater. I need to size it down a bit for myself. I don’t want to hack it together either, so I have decided to take the time to learn proper knitting and do a good job of it. Turns out knitting is considerably harder than I had anticipated … surprise.

Poppa Plants also showed up again and was extra mean to me this time.
