They’re clean, classic white button ups I can wear with just about anything.

I learned plenty more about making button up shirts in the process, specifically collars and plackets.

I started making 2 white button ups last week.

This week my biggest challenge was sewing the plackets. I took the time to figure out my placket pattern properly and the whole project took much more time then I had anticipated, but I got them done and it has all be worth it. I have two classic white button ups now.

I am making 2 of them at once. I am making them out of a thrifted king size bed sheet.

Making the collars didn’t go so well.

I picked up a white king size bed sheet at the thrift store and got to work turning it into two button up shirts. I had planned for it to be a straightforward sewing video, but once it came to the collars, I messed up again! I’ve been sewing for two years now and I still struggle sewing collars!

I operate on a weekly schedule. My weekly videos are a big part of this. It also seems my sewing supplies are low so for this week’s video, I went around Toronto to pick up some supplies.

Finally, I got myself something nice.

I made a sweater and shorts that are basically a track suit, but most of the time I am going to wear them as separates, like this.

I made it while Suspicious Corn kept hassling me. See the shenanigans by watching this week’s video.

It seems Suspicious Corn isn’t ready to give up on his quest from last week to find out why I’m doing “simple projects” so he continued to hassle me this week. Despite his interferences, I efficiently used left over fabric to sew shorts and a sweater.

With time & washing, my collars tend to curl. A set of collar stays helps keep said collar sharp.

I also fixed up some of my old projects and reviewed others in my latest video. Click the link in my bio or watch the video post previous to this one.
