I made these shorts a few weeks ago, then I fixed the waistband a week after. There’s videos about the process in my feed.

These photos are me trying out a few different ways to wear them.

Spring is here — although it doesn’t feel like it — and it’s time to get plants and seeds in the ground if there’s to be an autumn harvest, so Mennonite Cornelius got to work both planting some greens in his apartment but also made the pilgrimage to his hometown to help get mom’s garden sown.

I made them a few weeks ago and then this past week I fixed up the waistband on them.

The fabric is very comfortable but the best part is that I can wear them dressed up or down.

A few weeks ago I made a pair of shorts to test out my pants pattern updates. Well I liked the shorts enough that I decided to remake them properly. While I worked, I reminisced about and shared some stories of my summer in South Africa.

The waistband needs to be squared out. Notice how there is two points at the front where it overlaps. Also, the topstitching along the bottom of the waistband is rather wobbly.

The welt pockets in the back I am chuffed with. Also, the fit is nice.

Last week, Handyman Corn took over my video and put up some lights in the studio, so I took the time to tweak my pants pattern.

This week, I decided to make myself a pair of pants from said pattern and guess who showed up unannounced to make some “minor adjustments” to the lighting setup?!

This is my sewing show. I am not a fan of this Handyman Corn!
